Talk to a process engineer, not a call centre
One phone number and one email address cover sales, engineering, purchasing and production escalations. Whoever picks up can read your programme file, and the first reply you get is written by someone who has run the process.

Three doors, three different response times
The fastest way to a useful answer is to pick the right door. All three land in the same building, but they are handled by different desks with different queues.
A new RFQ or a transfer programme
Send the BOM and the Gerber package to sales@flashpointpcba.com, or put the same detail into the RFQ form. An order engineer acknowledges within one working day and the DFM report follows inside 24 hours of the package being complete.

An existing order, ECO or schedule change
Quote your FLASHPOINT order number in the subject line. Your programme manager and the planner both see it in the same queue, so a quantity change or a date move is answered the same working day without a re-quote. Changes to the assembly itself are handled as an ECO with a written first-article plan.
Reply: same working day
Audits, documents and supplier onboarding
Quality and purchasing enquiries, certificate requests and audit bookings go to the same address with "Quality" in the subject line. Certificate copies, insurance certificates and banking details are released under NDA, usually within two working days once the agreement is signed.

Headquarters and main plant
FLASHPOINT PCBA, Inc.2148 Zanker Road, Suite 300
San Jose, CA 95131, United States
This is where the DFM reviewers, the NPI engineers and the sourcing desk sit — one floor above the lines those decisions land on.
A visit starts with a 15-minute sign-in and a short programme review, then moves onto the floor: print and SPI, the NPI line, reflow, AOI and X-ray, and the test bay. Bring an ESD-safe jacket or use ours, closed shoes, and no loose jewellery. Photography is allowed on your own programme and not on anyone else's.
Zanker Road is 10 minutes from San Jose Mineta International and about 15 minutes from the Santa Clara convention hotels. Parking is on site. If you are flying in for a first-article review, allow half a day on the floor and an hour afterwards for the report walk-through.
Penang works 09:00–18:00 MYT. That is 02:00–11:00 in Central Europe, so a European buyer gets three clear hours in their morning with a live engineer. San Jose covers the other end: 07:00–18:00 PT lands in the European late afternoon and evening, which means a question raised at 14:00 in Munich is answered before the Munich office closes.

The Penang plant
FLASHPOINT PCBA Sdn BhdBayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone
Penang, Malaysia
Opened in 2019 to take repeat production and high-mix kitting, so that the San Jose flex line stays free for prototype and first-article work.
Penang runs the same quality system as San Jose — ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 and IATF 16949:2016 — with the same AOI and X-ray gates and the same traceability records, so a programme can move between the two plants without a new part number or a new inspection standard. Material sits in a 12,000 sq ft ESD-controlled store shared across both sites' planning.
ITAR-controlled work is not processed in Penang. Anything under export control stays in San Jose, and that boundary is enforced at the planning stage rather than at the shipping desk.
Send a message to the right desk
The subject line routes the message. Pick the closest match and add your order or project reference in the notes — it saves a round trip.
Phone and email
+1 408 555 0142
sales@flashpointpcba.com
Mon–Fri 07:00–18:00 PT for everything except a production escalation, which is monitored around the clock.
If you have the files ready, skip the message and go straight to the RFQ form. It asks for the nine fields a quote needs and puts your enquiry in the engineering queue rather than the general inbox.
When a production issue needs an answer now
A stopped line is not a support ticket. The escalation path is deliberately short and it does not wait for office hours.
-
Step 1 · any hour
Call the main line and say "production stop"
Dial +1 408 555 0142. During office hours the call is answered by the order desk, which pulls your programme manager and the process engineer into the same call. Outside 07:00–18:00 PT the same line is monitored, and the on-call engineer is paged with the order number.
-
Step 2 · within 1 hour
Containment decision
The engineer confirms what is affected: which serial numbers, which build quantity and whether the material is quarantined. Nothing ships while the question is open. If the answer is a rework, it is written against IPC-7711/7721 before an operator touches the board.
-
Step 3 · within 1 working day
Written non-conformance and corrective action
You get the non-conformance record with the measurement data behind it, the root cause as far as it is known, the immediate containment, and the corrective action with an owner and a date. If a customer notification is required for your own quality system, we issue it with the record rather than after it.
Have the order number, the board serial range and the failure symptom to hand. A photograph of the joint or the measurement is worth more than a description, and it shortens containment by hours.
Audits, visits and source inspection
Tell us the date you want and the scope of the audit, and we will confirm within one working day. Quality-system audits, process audits and customer source inspection all run the same way: a documented agenda, a guide who owns the process being audited, and access to the records rather than a summary of them.
Bring your own checklist and we will work through it line by line. Typical scope covers the traveller and MES records for a specific lot, SPI and AOI data, X-ray images, material certificates, calibration status, ESD audit data to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021, and the training records for the operators who ran the build. Samples of the lot can be pulled and inspected with your inspector at the bench.
ITAR-controlled programmes are audited in San Jose only, and every visitor on that floor must be a US person. Visitors are escorted at all times; phones stay in the locker outside the ITAR area.
Documents we release, and how
Certificate copies are released under NDA — never as a public download, and never with a certificate number in an email. Ask for the set you need and it arrives as a controlled PDF on letterhead.

Questions the inbox gets every week
Supplier and purchasing enquiries are answered — put "Supplier" in the subject line and include your commodity, your quality certifications and the lead time you hold stock for. Recruitment goes through the same address and is routed to the people who run the apprenticeship programme. Student project and thesis requests cannot be supported: our process data belongs to customer programmes and we do not release line time or measurement data for coursework.
You can get a range on the phone and a firm number in 48 hours. Board size, layer count, component count and quantity are enough for an engineer to tell you which band a build falls into and where the cost is concentrated. A firm quote needs the BOM and the Gerber set, because material availability and the process routing both move the number by more than any estimate can carry.
You do, without exception. A mutual NDA is the default before the first file is opened. Data is stored on the programme share with access limited to the engineers on your order, quote and RFQ files are retained for 24 months, and manufacturing records are retained for 10 years so an audit can be reconstructed. Nothing is published, and no customer name or logo appears anywhere without written consent.
Lead times, MOQ, payment terms and tooling ownership are answered in full on the procurement FAQ. If your question is commercial rather than technical, quote your order number and it reaches the planner directly.
Have the files ready? The quote takes 48 hours.
DFM review in 24 hours from a complete package, a firm price in 48, and a named engineer on the thread from the first reply.
